I love these knives, especially the filet knife. It cuts frozen meat so easily. My chicken cutlets can be as thin as I want with this knife.

First, be extremely careful with the chop & scrape 'cleaver'. I've had two of them disintegrate the handle in use. The second one almost cost me a hand.
Now, the bigger problem. These knives are made from the cheapest source of stainless steel you could imagine. As I understand it, China is famous for using 'recycled' stainless, which is not pure stainless. It has bits of iron and whatever else is lying around in it. This is where your rust and stains come from. I understand China has no rules concerning perceived steel quality.
Now, that doesn't mean you can't get a good knife made in china. A lot of high-end knives are made in china. I have a set of Rosenthal AG knives that are beautiful, and made in china. Been in the dishwasher a dozen times, and not a single spot or rust spot.
The difference? They are spec'd, and are made from, true virgin stainless steel. Not the cheap, crappy recycled crap these are (apparently) made from.
I will say this. From a use/functional standpoint, the Rock n Chop cleaver (which is a modified Santuko), is the most brilliant Knife I've ever used.
It's just a bummer to have to break out the stainless polish weekly to remove the rust stains, which occur even with hand washing.

These are the best knives I've ever used, so much so that I've bought 3 sets to date and plan on buying more as gifts. I have had my set for over a year and they are still as sharp as the day they arrived. I have not had ANY rusting or corrosion whatsoever. However, I do wash them by hand after use...perhaps other reviewer left knives in sink for a long period of time??? Great product!

Okay so the Miracle Blade company has a terrible reputation, almost nonexistent customer service & doesn't make the worlds best knives by any means. So why the high rating? You get what you pay for. These are cheep n cheerful quality, which if that's what you're looking for, is fine in my opinion. Maybe you don't want to spend $200 on a set of knives? I know I don't.
These are cheep for a reason. They won't hold an edge as long as more expensive brands. They also tend to tarnish especially when placed in the dishwasher. But at this price you can afford to replace them once a year. Initially they're VERY sharp & with normal use will hold an edge for a fair amount of time.
The Fillet & Rock n Chop cleaver are my favorites. Both are great designs. The steak knives, while somewhat cheep looking, make short work of even the toughest steak. The others do their jobs well enough.
If you're on a budget or enjoy having a new set of knives often these will do the trick. If you view your knives as a status symbol or insist on only the best then these are not for you. You get what you pay for here.
