I needed a really good set of knives that would stay sharp and last a long time. After doing some research I selected the J. A. Henckels International Classic Forged 7-Piece Stainless Steel Knife Set with Hardwood Block.
Since they are new I have not used them for a long time, but they are working beautifully for my kitchen needs and provide the diversity of size and type I was looking for. I am very pleased with this choice.

The knives are great but the set I ordered and the set I received were two different things. It was a gift so I just had to keep it. The company that filled the order did not do a good job.

the blades are all stamped with "Spain" marks so im thinking that these are forged. The scissors are made in china as is the block but that's not nearly as important.

This is a very nice knife set. I am not used to knifes this sharp. The only problem i had with this order was what I saw on screen that was supposed to be included in the knife set is not what I received. My set included a pair of sheers instead of one of the knifes.
